Are those madelines again? Yes they are. They’re such delightful bitefuls and so easy to make. I have made a cake out of the batter and chocolate madelines recently. This time the twist was flavouring them with vanilla pods. I then arranged them on a plate ready to be served as finger food at a gathering. I find it best to when bringing food as a gift to bring it ready to be served rather than in a disposable container needing transferring when served. Of course, you really have to remember to bring your plate back, unless you decide to give it as a gift to the host.

I always wanted to make madelines but I’m always forgetting to buy mold… Y
our madelines are very beautiful!!
Have a nice day, Margot
Love the way you’ve presented your perfect looking madeleines. Reminds me a bit of a waterfall.
I usually buy a plate to give to the host, no need to remember that way.
They are perfect!
Your madeleines are gorgeous, as always. I think they’re such elegant little cakes, aren’t they? Do you chill the batter before you bake them? How were they with the vanilla beans? I can see the vanilla flecks in the picture, it’s so pretty!
Pat: thanks for being so kind!
Linda:That’s what Martha Stewart does.. Its a great idea!
Hanne: No, I didn’t chill the batter, perhaps it would rise higher if I did? The vanilla beans were not very discernible. I think it would be better to add in some vanilla essence with the vanilla beans. I find the subtle taste of the vanilla pods gets overwhelmed by the butter and eggs.
These madeleines look so pretty. Maybe I should go get the mould and start making them.
those look delicous!
