Hi, I’m Farhan and I write on happygrub, a foodblog based in Singapore. I’m happily married, living a secret life of hunting good eats, recreating some in the kitchen, experimenting with new techniques and building a repertoire of cookbooks and kitchen equipment. I’m in the midst of collating recipes for future offspring.

Updated 16 November 2009:

A lot has happened since I started this food blog in April 2007. My readership has expanded and I made lots of new friends as well as renewed old friendships. I started this blog as a way to occupy myself after a miscarriage. After a journey of trying to conceive, our little girl Hana was born on the 26th of September 2009. I’m interested in gentle parenting options and practice baby wearing, cloth diapering, elimination communication and co sleeping with my baby. I’ve decided to share my insights on this blog. Of course there’ll still be food and recipes interspersed!

I like the part you mentioned ” collating recipes for the future offspring”. I am doing exactly the same, except we don’t have any kids yet.

Hi! I’ve recently found your wordpress blog and my goodness I am now your newest fan! You’re amazing, the food you make MmmM makes my mouth water haha. I want to somehow save your page, add you as a friend, or something, but seeing as how I just joined this site I haven’t a clue how to do anything. But I’ll add you to my favourites =]. Hope I don’t sound like an internet stalker; I just wanted to let you know how cool I think you are!

Hi! It’s your BBM buddy! Just wanted to let you know that I received your package, it’s lovely! Unfortunately it came at a difficult time. The day before it arrived, my boyfriend had emergency open heart surgery. He is ok, coming home today for a long recovery. I waited to open the box with him in the hospital. We have both been waiting to see who my BBM buddy would be. Your package gave us a great lift during a rough time. I will be posting, hopefully later this week and will write more to you.
Thanks again, I look forward to writing!

Thanks a lot josepo for the compliment! The raclette machine is my Aunt’s and she got it more than a decade ago from Switzerland, She’s not sure exactly where. I don’t think its available in many parts of the world outside Europe.
